Unspoken Social Rules Most Adults Learn Too Late
Nobody teaches you these.
You just learn them after making a few mistakes.
1. Don't embarrass someone in front of others.
If you need to correct them, do it privately.
2. If someone shows you a photo, don't immediately zoom in.
Just look at what they wanted you to see. 😂
3. Don't keep asking “Why?” when someone says no.
No is already an answer.
4. If someone is telling you something personal, don't turn it into your story.
Sometimes people just want to be heard.
5. Don't make someone feel guilty for leaving early.
You don't know what they're dealing with.
6. If you borrow something, return it before they have to ask.
7. Don't give advice when someone clearly just needs someone to listen.
8. If someone is excited about something small, let them enjoy it.
You don't have to understand it.
9. Don't force people to explain why they're quiet.
Give them space.
10. Never use someone's secret against them during an argument.
Growing up isn't just learning how to take care of yourself.
It's learning how to make life a little easier for the people around you.
That's a kind of maturity nobody puts on a certificate.
